About the logo

For many years, education and training in art conservation has involved the balance of three important areas of study: science, craft, and connoisseurship. These areas are represented by the first three hexagons. Additionally, art conservators today are ambassadors for the field, participating in public outreach and innovative collaborative work. This component is represented by the orange hexagon. Together, these skills synthesize to form a diverse and creative group of emerging professionals who are the future of art conservation.
